Swansea Police Participate in Autism Awareness Campaign

Police Chief Marc Haslam is excited to announce a new initiative here at Swansea PD. In partnership with the Swansea Police Patrolman’s Association, we will be wearing and selling, a brand new, limited edition shoulder insignia patch for the month of April! Beginning immediately, we will be selling a small quantity of the Official Swansea Police Autism Awareness patch. Each patch is $10 and all proceeds will be donated to the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism.

In addition, our new Autism Awareness K-9 Officer “Patches” will be making his rounds about town, stopping to take photo ops. Patches will also make appearances on School Resource Officer Macaila Saunder’s Google Classroom page to help educate about Autism and what we all can do to help.

Swansea PD Autism patches will be for sale in the Police Station lobby BY PERSONAL CHECK ONLY. Please make out checks to the Swansea Police Patrolman’s Association. If you are unable to pay by personal check, you may email Lt. Joseph Martin at joseph.martin@swanseapolice.com to make other arrangements to get your patches!
