Swansea Police Arrest and Charge Fall River Man in Connection with Unarmed Robbery

SWANSEA —  Chief Mark Foley reports that the Swansea Police Department arrested and charged a Fall River Man in connection with an unarmed robbery.

JORDAN MEDEIROS, AGE 42, of FALL RIVER, was arrested and charged with:

  • Warrant (Unarmed Robbery)
  • Speeding
  • Carrying a Dangerous Weapon

On Monday, April 22 at approximately 5:42 p.m. Swansea Police responded to Walgreens Pharmacy, 510 Wilbur Ave., for reports of a robbery.

The suspect was reportedly unarmed and stole prescription medication. The suspect was described as a white male, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, a baseball hat, sunglasses, an N95-style mask, and tan cargo pants. He was seen driving a tan or gray Toyota Tundra TRD pickup truck that was carrying a ladder rack and a toolbox.

A subsequent investigation that utilized surveillance footage and the assistance of the public identified a suspect and vehicle. An arrest warrant was obtained.

On Thursday, April 25, at approximately 7:32 a.m. Swansea Police conducted a motor vehicle stop of a Toyota Tundra. The driver of the vehicle, MEDEIROS, was arrested without incident.

An initial search of MEDEIROS determined that he was carrying a double-edged switchblade. The switchblade was not used during the robbery.

MEDEIROS is expected to be arraigned in Fall District Court on Thursday.

These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
