Please use this web form to sign up for the Swansea Police Department’s No Knock Registry.
If Swansea residents do not want for-profit door-to-door solicitors and canvassers to knock on their door, they can sign up below to be added to the No Knock Registry.
According to the Town of Swansea’s bylaws: “Any residence or business that does not wish to be visited by canvassers and solicitors may make a request to the Chief of Police to be placed on the No Soliciting or Canvassing List. Each such request shall be in writing on a form as provided by the Chief of Police.”
When the Police Department issues a license for soliciting or canvassing, licensees will be provided an up-to-date copy of this No Knock Registry. The list will be updated on the first day of each month. And each licensee will be required to obtain a copy of the updated list by the third day of each month.
If a solicitor does not adhere to the registry, immediately report the violation by calling the nonemergency police number: 508-674-8464.
By submitting this form, you certify:
I am the lawful owner/lessee of the listed property and request that this address be added to the “No Knock Registry” as defined in Chapter 200, Article 7 of the Town of Swansea Bylaws. I wish that my address remain registered until I notify the Swansea Police Department in writing that I want my address removed.
I further request that any person who receives a permit under Chapter 200, Article 7 of the Town of Swansea Bylaws receives the “No Knock Registry” list.
