ATV Unit

The ATV Unit is part of the Uniformed Patrol Division and consists of one Lieutenant, two Sergeants, and five officers. The Unit is equipped with two quad ATV’s and a specialized trailer to transport them. The two ATV’s and trailer were acquired through community donations.

The ATV Unit plays a crucial role in enhancing law enforcement capabilities, especially in areas that are difficult to access using traditional vehicles. These specialized units use ATVs to patrol rugged, off-road terrains such as forests, beaches, parks, and rural or remote areas, providing an effective means to enforce the law in environments where conventional patrol cars may not reach. The purpose of a Police ATV Unit extends far beyond mere patrol, encompassing various responsibilities that enhance public safety, facilitate crime prevention, and support search and rescue operations.

Other Responsibilities: Parades and Community Events
