Swansea Police to Enforce Parking Ban During Nor’easter Storm this Weekend

No On Street Parking from Friday at 10 p.m. to Sunday at 8 a.m.

Violating Vehicles Will Be Ticketed and Towed

SWANSEA — Chief Marc Haslam reports that a parking ban will be put into effect this weekend to help keep roads clear for plows and emergency vehicles during the nor’easter storm that is expected to bring more than a foot of snow to the region.

The parking ban will be in effect from Friday, Jan. 28, at 10 p.m. until Sunday, Jan. 30, at 8 a.m.

Any vehicle that is in violation of the parking ban will be towed and the vehicle owner will be given a ticket.

“This is projected to be a very serious storm with a lot of snow falling and high winds,” Chief Haslam said. “To ensure everyone’s safety we need to keep the roads clear for plows and emergency vehicles. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and assistance.”
